Hello together,
we need to import a locally created *.SCA File via NWDS. But this does not seem to work, since the "import-check" failes because the sources are not contained in the archive.
What i read in previous posts was, that most of the poople forgot to add the dependencies (SAP-JEE,SAP_BUILDT,SAP_JTECHS). In our case we defined the follw. depencies (ENGFADE,ENGINEAPI, FRAMEWORK,SAP_BUILDT and RUNTIME) which should do the job.
My Question now is, if it is even possible to import a *.sca which was created by the NWDS and how can i include this missing sources and where?
Hope that anyone knows a solutions.
Kind regards,
Alex

Hello Alex,
The SCA from the NWDS is different from the one made by Assembly in CMS.
Assembly in CMS and export from NWDS are not compatible. Assembled SCAs can only be used by CMS and for deployment (JSPM; SUM,...). Export from assembly returns the last assembled SCA which is a normal SCA that can be used for import in NWDI and/or for deployment. It can be exported an SCA from assembly queue and import into dev in another track. But it can also be forwarded an SCA from assembly tab to another track. (Button "Forward from History...")
In NWDS exported SCAs can only be imported into NWDS again. In NWDS you can copy DCs between development configurations, e.g. a local development configuration with in NWDS imported SCA and a NWDI owned development configuration.
In CMS SCAs are created during assembly. But there is also an option to export SCAs in DEV or CONS without assembly. This will create an SCA without sources for deployment only. You can not import such an SCA in NWDI again.
Hope it helps clarifying.
