Ora-01922 error dropping "SAPR3SHD" userid during the upgrade ERP6 EHP7-using SUM-SPS14

Hi Every one,

Sap upgrade is failing to remove oracle shadow user SAPR3SHD.

receiving error 01922

please let me know if we can manually delete using cascade option?

in DB side shadow user using three functions

RTRIM2

May be this note is not relevant for you but solution may work.

1487754 - Add. info.: Upgrade to SAP NW 7.3 ORACLE

Schema user SAPR3SHD or SAP<SID>SHD

The upgrade has created schema user SAPR3SHD or SAP<SID>SHD for the shadow system on the database. This schema is not deleted at the end of the upgrade. It can be used for upgrades to come.

Alternatively, you can delete the schema with database means. Due to errors in the delivery, there may still be database objects (synonyms) in the schema. You can also delete these objects.

Lets see what Suresh has to say regarding the fix he applied.

we have removed the user manually with the help of DBA team.

upgrade continued successfully.
