Sales order has two line items,

#10, materialA, 10 EA

#20, materialB, 10 EA

Outbound delivery created,

1 EA of materialA should be packed automatically

1 EA of materialB should be packed automatically

other 9 EA of A, B should be unpacked

In other words, 2 HUs created automatically, each having 1 qty packaging material and 1 qty material A / B. And other 18 qty unpacked.

How can we set this up in packing rules for automatic packing?

This is interesting requirement. What is the purpose of packing only to two materials and not the remaining quantity? What business scenario is this? Usually we pack full quantity of material or we don't pack at all.

For your requirement I don't think so standard automatic packing will work. You might have to go for manual packing or if you want to automate it you can take help of ABAPER and use some function to write your code with this logic. Check BADI_HU_AUTOPACK and try with it.
