Hierarchy flag activation & impact

Hello Experts,

Please help me with following query.

There is existing infoobject and text data has been loaded since 2008 and there is no attribute data loaded.

Now I was asked to activate the hierarchy flag and move to QA and subsequently to PROD as client wants to create hierarchies on that.

If I make changes to infoobject and move to production, will I loose the existing text data?

Please advice me.

Hi,

There is no impact on text. It will not get deleted in case you activate the Hierarchy.

Hello Guru,

you can create a copy of master data and save the data in it to be sure. Also you can test in quality the flag,
