apo ppds - some PDS not updated with class/characteristic

Hi,

I run block planning in apo with PDS.

after ciffing production versions / PDS I realized that some PDS are not updated with class&characterisitic. I tried to compare the once that are fine with those that miss class, but could not find any reason...

the prod versions are active (not locked)

any idea what I might check? I classified the operations in routings with class 018 using change numbers in CEWB in R3.

Hi Pilvy,

Do you still have the issue? Is the Valid From date of the Work Center class earlier than the Valid From date of the operation added/changed with Change Number? It is necessary to ensure this, because otherwise there would be a period of time in which the operation is valid but the class is not, in which case no operation classification can be transferred to APO.

Hi Thiago,

yes, I still face the issue. But I found out why. the problem is that when classifying the operations with a change nr the validity of the operation does not change = the system takes the operation as it was at the "valid from date". If you change sth small in hte operation, even the description, eg. add dot "." to the description and do that using the same change nr as for the classification of the operations then zou achieve the same "valid from day" and the system transfers the classified operations to the PDS in APO..strange but it really works that way...

I do not classify work center for block planning. I only classify operations in routings with class type 018.

But I still face the problem that the sap_pp_002 (infinitive, find slot, search for bucket with free capacity) or sap_pp_003 (find slot, search for bucket with free capacity) create the planned order sometimes according to the block definitions and sometimes not = the pl orders are sometimes created at the last workind day(availabe time at the last second of the previous interval..) and no ones know why. while debugging we see that all teh possible resources are send to live cache.... Have you run BP with non-configurable products in 7.3 run on S4Hana?

The issue in my case is that:

1. when I classify the routings/operations with a change nr, the PDS is not updated with the class/characteristic.

2. when I classify the routings/operations without a change nr, the PDS is updated with the class/characteristic.

so at the moment I don't know why CIf has an issue with the change nr?? There is an integration model active for change nr.

the change nr itself is maintained so that routings and classification is allowed. there is no error popping up when classifying the operations with a change nr. I use CEWB for a mass update of the operations/routings.

Maybe someone has had a similar problem?
