Hi All,

I am trying to run the transaction MDM_CLNT_EXTR. Can anybody help me with step-bystep configurations that need to be done to make this transaction work. In the job log i am getting a message as Extraction Cancelled. I am trying to send data to XI.

Thanks

Praveen.

Hi Praveen,

SAP Note 836985 gives you further information. If the extraction fails on client side, you may have to add a configuration to your partner profiles (TC WE20) for the message type MDMRECEIPT and the logical system you are using for your XI / MDM system. The message is actually not sent out, but the coding of the MDM_CLNT_EXTR needs the configuration.

Regards

Andreas

hi praveen,

Have you done the partner profile configurations for R/3 and XI in the R/3 system?

There is no other specific configurations for the same.

Smitha

Hi Varun,

That was really helpfull information but what i wanted to know was how to export master data using the transaction mdm_clnt_extr to XI. What are the configurations that are necessary on the R/3 system and on the XI system.

Thanks

Praveen.

hi gadi,

Settings in MDM

You can use the Customizing transactions to transport the entries in transactions DC_SYSTEM_SETTINGS, MDM_CID, MDM_PROP, and SNRO. Since the entries contain system instances or are system specific, you must adjust them after the transport.

You can transport the implemented BAdIs by using a workbench request. You must create new XI files in each system (test, development, and productive system) by using transaction MDM_GENP.

> Settings in XI

All other settings for XI (interface mappings, XSLTs, and entries in the Integration Repository) can be transported by using XI (see the section "XI").

> Settings in the MDC

Number ranges can be transported from the Customizing transaction to your test, development, and productive environment. However, if these settings are different in

the various test, development, and product environment, you must postprocess these manually.

just go thru this pdf link (page 31 will give more details about configuration)

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c27a3394-0701-0010-c68c-c59...

hope this helps

Thanks
