Unable to perform sync in windows server 2007 for WM 6.4 App with Agentry client (7.0.12)

Hello Experts,

I'm trying to do sync the Work manager Application(6.4 WM) in Windows server 2007 platform with Agentry client version 7.0.12 for Central SMP server 3.0( SP11 PL4) and getting below error.

Requesting public key from server

The message received was unexpected or badly formatted.

Communications Error (14)

connection failed.

Ending transmission. Please find attached screenshot below for your reference.

More information regarding the issue.

1. I'm getting " I am here" message in browser window. ( backend system is SAP ECC 6. 0).
2. I'm able to do sync from other windows OS platform with same Work manager application in Agentry client.
3. I'm tried with different Agentry client WPF version in same windows server 2007 landscape, let's say Agentry client 7.0.10, 7.0.11, 7.0.12 and getting the same error.

Kindly suggest some solution to resolve this issue.

Jana,

Can you try to check the following SAP KBA articles that talks about "ciphers"?

• 2202742 - Authentication error accessing SAP SMP 3.0
• 2217055 - SMP 3.0 Error: Server has a weak ephemeral Diffie-Hellman public key

The reason for this suggestion is that what if your server or system has a lower cipher but the newer system wanted it to be higher. So what occurs is that on transmit, your server makes you fail. The 2 articles above explains on how you edit your system to make it work. Try if this is your issue.

Check this for now. Worst comes to worst it could also be Java version related.
