Hey NC,

As I can't seem to paste into this message.

If you look in the log you have pasted here, you will see text with (RFF) and an error with an invalid checksum on your import file SAPSPROT.001. This suggests this file is damaged.

Please download the DVD containing EXPORT_5 (51048902_1) again. After the fresh download, check the existing/new SAPSPROT.001 file before continuing with your install.

I would expect your newly downloaded one to have a different bytesize.

Amerjit

Hi Chahal,

there are difference on the DVDs from the MS SQL and SAP ASE?

Hey Nelson,

I'm not quite sure I get your question. The installation export DVDs are the same whether it's MSSQL or SYB. It's the same part number. The DB specific stuff is under each folder. eg: EXT or STR files (depends on DB).

Now I checked what the size of file SAPSPROT.001 should be and on a windows machine it shows as: 126MB

Size: (132,752,384 bytes).

Size on disk: (132,755,456 bytes)

Please also run a "chkdsk" on the mount where you have the export files located. Additionally see OSS #2022285 which might give you additional pointers.

Cheers,

Amerjit

Hi CHahal,

I believe in that because I was still giving me the same error even after I downloaded the new DVD, so I decided to star a new installation and not continue from where I was and all went well, after the installation I run SICK and no errors showed up.

thank you for the help.

NC\

Hi NC

You have to upgrade the latest kernel & DBSL patch and then retry the same phase.

Hi NC,

Did you download the DVD as I suggested ? The error shows a checksum error.
