DENMAS idoc from customer master to PI

Hello,

we have a custom T code in ECC which sends DEBMAS idocs from customer master to SAP PI. SAP PI further sends it to a third party system.

Issue is , there are lakhs of customers. But we need to send the DEBMAS idocs for only 10,000 customers from PI to thrid party system. That is information will be send to PI for all the customers but PI needs to send the information further for only 10,000 customers.

we are considering, uploading the 10,000 customers in a Z table in ECC. then we do an RFC call from PI to ECC. as when idoc reaches PI, PI will do an RFC to ECC to check whether the idoc received by PI has the customer which matches that of the customer in the Z table in ECC. if yes, then a flag is set in PI and that customer will be sent to third party.

Is the above approach correct ?

can someone suggest a better approach ?

regards

Pamela

    Depends....

How do YOU know which 10000 customers shall be maintained in your Z-table?

Is this really handpicked or is there any common characteristic? e.g. customers from company code XYZ, customers with purchasing org ABC, customers from account group 0001 ?

If there is a common characteristic then the approach with a Z-table is probably not the best.
