Booking the cost to AUC without any cost collector.

Can we booked cost without any cost collector like IO or WBS or cost center in the course of AUC.

Suppose there are a short term project say for 20 days, so for these days do we still need to use a cost collector ?or whether there is any other option to book cost directly to AUC.

Your help will be highly apppreciable..

    Hi Rizwan,

Instead of posting the expenses to IO/WBS and later settle to AUC from it. You can directly post to AUC and from the AUC you can settle to final asset. The entry will be:

    AUC A/c Dr

    Vendor A/c Cr or GR/IR clearing A/c

    • Hi,

Before done settlement, first you have to create a main asset, after that run the t.code AIAB. Here you have to maintain the settlement rule i.e. maintain the main asset in it. After that run settlement in the screen, then after maintain posting date, document date & value date. Thus the AUC asset settled to main asset. You can check the balances in AW01N.
