Error in COOIS: Order maybe in use; please try again later

Hi Experts,

Will appreciate your thoughts in this.

When the user is trying to perform change in orders via COOIS transaction and save, he is receiving the error message: "Order may be in use; please try again later."

Thanks.

    Hi Jajah,

Generally when you have production order in process and some user tries to carry out changes in the same order (using COOIS or other transaction), system issues messaes in below format:

order XXXXX already being processed by user YYYY

Reservation XXXXX already being processed by user YYYY

If possible, try to give the screenshot of the error.

    Regards,

    Rohit

    • Hi Jajah,

Yes, you can have enhancements in standard transactions / programs using User / Customer Exits , BAdI. When you go to change mode using COOIS, system calls MD12 in background. Chances are that you may have some enhancement in change planned order transaction or in COOIS.

As suggested earlier, you can take help of a technical resource to find the exact root cause of this error in debugging mode.

      Regards,

      Rohit

    Jajah,

I have never seen that message before. What is the message number?

In general, most "....try again later" messages in SAP are the result of some kind of locking problem.

    hi,

sometimes the transaction gets lock due to server speed or cancellation while running, you can check it in SM12, or talk to your basis guy.

    regards,

    Solomon
