Key figure -Macro calculation

Hello Experts,

I have come accross a weird issue in DP.

We have kf's   A,B,C (C = Final forecast)

where in A+B = C , where as kf B is a adjustment KF.

For one particluar SKU

A=0

B= 100000

So, as per calc A+B = C i.e 1000000. The same figures are showing in PB xyz.  We have macros maintained at default level and preiodical job to run MAcros.

The same KF's are maintained in Admin PB too. We are able to adjusment values in KF b, however not in kf C.When I execute the macro interactively only its showing in Admin book for KF C.

After planning we have taken backup of planning Area and noticed that back up cube has adjustment KF values but not the kf C (A+B=C) in backup cube. I have checkd job logs and dont find any errors.

As KF's values are read from PA, why is it showing in PB XYZ kf values of C, why not in admin PB or backup cube or release PB

Appreciate inputs.  (Ran time series  consistency checks, didnt find any inconsistency )

Hello TIA,

Following is the expected behavior -

1. Planning book which is showing you value in KF-C has default macro to do the calculation. It will display (randomly calculated) value in KF-C.

2. Planning book which is NOT showing you value in KF-C DO NOT have such default macro. It will not display value in KF-C as there is no value exist in livecache db.

3. However if you run background job for this macro calculation,  value in KF-C will be calculated and it will be saved in livecache database.  You will be able to see that value from Planning Book even if you do not have any such default macro.

4. Planning area data extraction into backup cube - Whatever data exist in livecache at the time of extraction, it will get backed up in backup cube.  Please verify your data extractors using transaction RSA3 or you can use /SAPAPO/SDP_EXTR(Test Datasource option).  Verify the data extracted for your selection/keyfigure compare against values from Planning area.

Please verify working of above points in your case.

Hi Satish,

Yes, PB, which is showing value in KF C has a default macro. Howeverwe have faced issue with only one SKU as of now. same logic applies to all SKU but we didn't find any inconsistency

PB which is showing value in KF C has default macro and Background jobs run periodically.

When I execute Macro interactively in Admin PB, value for kf C is showing up.

Why is it happening with only one or few SKU ?

It may be X or Y or Z PB, but KF value is read from PA right ? how come it shows in one PB and not in other PB's
