Performance problems after migrating from 10.5 to 12.5

We have a project migrated from Pb10.5 to PB12.5 . In this project, we have significant performance problems in a function . The CPU load remains at a high level even if the program is at a standstill. The final analysis was as follows :

close or lock ( write lock ) a gloable Instance not operate properly, what it to multiply in the new EXE versions of an instance

comes and the program itself slows down.

In the picture you can see thread stack for the programm . (eg . Line 77 ) ob_get_global_func_class not ends.

    Can you tell us ...

    1) O/S version & bitness?

    2) Exact PB version & build?

    3) App compiled to p-code or m-code?

    4) Details of what the GF is doing?

      Hi Rudolf;

      This sounds like - maybe:

      a) You are calling another piece of software that continues to run after your application completes.

      b) Another application thread is still running.

      Q: What does Task Manager show the high CPU attached to (process wise) after your application shuts down?

    You might have global functions called from datawindows repeatedly...

    If you have a computed object on the datawindow that calls a global function the frequency of the function call depends on the timer_interval. Default is a timer_interval of zero which equates to 60000 or once every minute. If on the other hand the interval is set to a low but greater than zero value then the global function is called every timer_interval millisecond. 100 means 10 times a second.

    If you have nested datawindows you might find that the global functions are called repeatedly.
