Hi Friends,
I am looking for an upgrade of my DB2 v 10.1 fix pack level 2 to fix pack level 4 or 5 for SAP running on AIX version 7.1 64 bit.
Can anyone please answer some of my queries below:
I do know that these FixPacks contains fixes to the bugs found in the earlier versions.
4. How do i get the fixes contained in DB2v10.1 fix pack level 4?
Dear Winston ,
A ) First consider the following Note's
101809 - DB6: Supported Versions and Fix Pack Levels
1708037 - DB6: Installing Fix Packs for DB2 10.1 (UNIX + Linux)
Choose a the latest supported fix pack ( on a db6 version ) apprroved by SAP for your system .
B) Consdier whether you are on the recommended TL level for AIX for the db6 base version
Please consider the following link as well when choosing the FIX pack level ( As your underlying OS is AIX )
IBM Known issues for DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows on AIX 5.3, 6.1, and 7.1 - United States
C ) Search in service market place " DB6 :Known Errors and available Fixes " as an answer to your query no 4 and
IBM Fix List for DB2 Version 10.1 for Linux, UNIX and Windows - United States

Dear Winston
You can always refer to IBM documentation regards to Fixes that are included in newly release database Fixpacks.
You can check below link for further information
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.ws?uid=swg21610653
In there you can select relevant FixPacks for further details.
Not necessarily all Fixpacks to fix performance issues.
It is always recommended to use latest fixpack version when you are upgrading.
Hope it helps
Thanking you
Regards
Venkat.
