When I'm trying to start the Integration Repository or Directory I'm getting following error message

Java Web Start- Download Error

Unable to launch integration builder

Unable to load resource: http://<server_name:port>/rep/repository/aii_ibrep_client.jar

Is there any local setting need to be done for Java environment?

Hi,

I think you have the Web Start installed and this error occurs when the jar files are getting copied from the XI server.

Check if Web Start version you are using is compatible with the XI server's SP level.

>> /people/sameer.shadab/blog/2005/11/27/java-web-start do refer that blog.

Also do take care of your JAVA version.

XI applications require a minimum of JRE 1.4.2 or higher.

Higher versions of JRE (>1.4.2) will cause problems for XI applications with Service Pack less than SP11.

Hi,

I had originally the same 'error' but it appeared to be relate to a timeout connection problem to the XI box. This is visible in the details of the exception box. Somewhere it should mention 'timeout'.

We suspect that it was because we did not use FQDN names during our XI setup. After changing some things in the DNS servers, it goes ok,

Hi,

Since the IR and ID are Swing components you need to download the Java Web Start.

Hi Amit,

//Is there any local setting need to be done for Java environment?

No.

You need to have JAVA WEB START installed on your machine to be able to access XI.

Just go to sun.java.com and download the latest version of J2SE. J2SE comes with Java Web Start and

this will help you acess integration repository and builder.

If the problem persists, then the aii_ibrep_client.jar file on XI server might have to be redeployed.

Hope this helps,

regards,
