Dear colleagues
Our system DataBase is being migrated from Oracle to Sybase. I need to translate Oracle select hints %_HINTS ORACLE 'index(ZDBM_OE_SPLHDRST"ZPT")' to a Sybase one. I tried %_HINTS SYBASE 'index(ZDBM_OE_SPLHDRST"ZPT")', but it doesn't work.
Do you know Sybase hints shoul look like?
Thank you very much in advance!
Regards,
Andrey
First read generic 129385 - Database hints in Open SQL and for database dependance 130480 - Database hints in Open SQL for Oracle and 1702338 - SYB: Database hints in Open SQL for SAP ASE. (Also look for sample in standard code for string %_HINTS ORACLE/SYBASE)

Raymond

Thank you Raymond! Your answer is really helpfull. The correct hint is
%_HINTS SYBASE 'TABLE <tablename> ABINDEX(< suffix>)'
