SOAP messages missing from Java Message Monitor

Hi,

I'm fairly new to PI 7.4 single stack.

It seems that our sync SOAP messages are not showing up in the Message Monitor. I can find the message information if I look directly at the Com channels but I want to see them in the overview of "Message Monitor: Monitor Messages". We see other messages in the monitor, like IDOC, JDBC, File, etc.

I've searched through many logging and adapter settings, also SCN.

Does anyone have a hint?

Thanks in advance,

Aaron

I assume you are using global configuration for logging and staging.

Can you check the value that is configured for "xiadapter.logger.conf " property in NWA -> Java System Properties ->Services -> XPI Adapter: XI?

You can compare with the table under below blog and see if the logging for sync messages is turned on.

That blog is very detailed, thanks!

Our setting seems to be set to a quoted blank space like: " " with no custom calculated value.

So if understand, xiadapter.sgage.conf is for messages which are restartable (asynch?), and xiadapter.logger.conf will be for recording the state of a message but not make it restartable.

From the logger description:

This property defines the logging mode for the XI protocol handler.

Its value is given as a comma-separated list of logging mode configurations at specific stages.

Stages:

BI - Before inbound processing

MS - Between receiver determination and mapping step

AM - Between mapping and schema validation

Modes:

2 - Synchronous messages are logged

6  - Only synchronous error messages are logged

10 - As mode 2, with the business content hidden

14 - As mode 6, with the business content hidden

Example:

BI=6,AM=2

So I tried with settings xiadapter.logger.conf MS=2,AM=2

Now I get the Sync messages inside The Message Status Overview!!

Thanks and regards,

Aaron

Hello Aaron,

Get the message ID from the channel and search using the message Id in the message Monitoring.

Also check whether the time Your searching is correct.

Issue is not the time, I searched all day today. However, your suggestion got me clicking around more and I noticed these SOAP messages seem to show up on the Database tab. I wonder what is the significance of these two different tabs (Message Status Overview vs Database)?
