  • Ho did you achieve this integration finally ? I have similar requirements. However the client doesn't want real time integration between Maximo and Ariba. PI has to pull cXML files from Ariba, map and convert to XML and post to an SFTP server. From SFTP server later on files will be collected by Maximo. The PI instance has Ariba Network Adapter. However, I am not sure if we can use the network adapter to build a cXML to file scenario since the network adapter provides standard mapping for cXML to IDOC/Proxy (or vice versa) alone. Would really appreciate your insight on this.

    Hi Madhultha,

All depends about what you have in you organization.

If you have yet a SAP PI, the advantages are:

    1. You centralize the interfaces in one integrator system and not in several.

    2. SAP PI supports flat file, http and webservice calls that they are the ways to connect with IBM Maximo integration.

    3. If you have SAP in your environment, you have yet SAP assistance for any problem.

About the advantages of Dell Boomi, i can't be helpful.

In SAP PI for Ariba, adapter and standard contents are available, Which makes integration more flexible
