how come my hana model input parameter has no mappings available

dear all, i have a Union node, into a Join node, into a Projection node into the Semantics node.

in my Join node, i also have a calculated column TDate which returns a date.

so, i created my ip_TDate parameter, but there is no mappings available for me to link it to the calculated column TDate

what i am trying to do is create an input parameter on the date, so it does not take for ever to interrogate the table for a list of dates.
