Need help for creating LSMW for change.

Dear Experts,

I want to create a LSMW for changing existing data where my main concern is not to change most of the existing data except 2 Fields.

As per my knowledge I have two options:

1. I can use LSMW recording used for CREATE function and can use all fields available in that, where I just need to change data in 2 fields and rest will be same as previous one.

2. I can create a new recording, which will not affect the existing data except 2 fields (I am not sure how to do that).

As I am new to SAP world, requesting for your input on this.

Hi,

It is better if you can create a new LSMW for changing the required 2 fields. The process remains the same as you have done for create function. The only difference will come in recording as this time you will be updating an existing record.

You may practice in your Test server.

I am curious to know that, is there any option in LSMW through which I could skip that field which I don't want to change(I can't use CONSTANT option).

Hi Alok,

You can pass the value '/' to the field which you wouldn't want to modify.
