BPC WEB PAGE the icon Add-in for excel disappered

Hi Bpc Friends

I have installed on a new software installation (Windows 10, IE11, MS OFFICE 2016) the EPM Add-in 25 sp3 and everything went well.

I gave this laptop to a Finance person to test the processes and in the icon for Excel disappeared.

I have tried to log in to with my user (local admin) but no luck

I tried to un-install and install again the EPM but no luck

How Could recover the link from the web page to excel?

And what BPC version are you using (web page is prepared on the server...)

BPC 10.0 for NW

We haven't changed the BPC version, just the software on local desktop (Windows & Office) and I have installed the EPM 25 locally

so I have two laptop at my desk:

the one with windows 7, office 2013 and EPM 25 the web page is ok

the one with windows 10, office 2016 and EPM 25 the same web page is not ok

anything that I could try?

Do you have clean office 2016 install or upgrade from previous office?

I had to degrade the office and the internet explorer.

I am using:

Windows 10,Office 2016, EPM ADD-IN 25

The first time that I opened the BPC Web page I had all the links (excel, powerpoint, word)

I tried all these link and they worked well.

When I opened again the Bpc web page all this link disappeared, only the BPC Admin left.

Hello, I am using:

  • Office 2013 32 bits (this is important, because the EPM do not work in 64 bits)
  • Windows 10 64 bits
  • Internet Explorer 10
  • EPM 10.0 SP 26 . NET 4

I have probems with:

  • Internet Explorer 11
  • Office 2016 32 bits

Please start Excel on your system and check if EPM and Data Manager menu items are still there.

Sometimes the AddIn gets deactivated. In this case just activate it in Excel and try again from BPC Web page.

Hi Michelle

When you installed the EPM Add-in, did you installing it as an administrator ("run as administrator") and select the option ''For all users" in the install screen prompts?

If you do not select the option "For all users", the EPM add-in is only installed for the current user, any other user who logs on will not see the EPM add-in in the web page.

We are currently using Office 2016 Deferred Channel and IE 11 on Windows 10 (which is our Corporate Standard), however one caution - the EPM add-in does not work correctly with the Office 2016 Current Channel version (there is some issues we have encountered - as this is the same update channel used by the "Office Insider" program - it introduces 'beta' features which are not yet supported by SAP and causes issues with the EPM add-in), you should use the Office 2016 Deferred/Business Channel version instead.

Hi.. May I know if this issue has been resolved? We are also facing the same issue for one of our users. EPM Office Add-in for Excel has been disappeared while using IE11 for BPC Login. Please note, no other browser is allowed apart from IE11 at user's organization.

Kindly let us know any known solution.
