I've a custom report contains 160 columns and I want to download the data using the standard menu list->export->save to local file. I download them, I found the few columns are display in one line and the rest columns display in next line.

How many column can be shown using ALV Grid? Is there any maximum limit?

Make sure that you don't have Word Wrap turned on in your text editor. If you are going to be doing this on a regular basis - get yourself a good text editor - it makes a huge difference in being able to use the downloaded data efficiently. Just Google "Best text editors" and take your pick - almost any one of those will be better than the built in Notepad. Also, please never use Word or WordPad to open these text files.

OO ALV : Maximum number of columns - An ALV grid itself does not appear to have a maximum number of columns. Using the text download, you will get the first 99 columns, but if you use the "Export to spreadsheet" option, you should get all the columns - or at least a lot more. I have successfully tested up to 340 columns. The HTML also I have tested to 340 columns.
