mandatory field when we create user in portal

Hi.

When we create user in portal, We don't want to fill e-mail address field but this field is mandatory field.

Anybody know how to change this ?

Hi Arnold,

The solution i think of is you can customize the UME property of the users by not defining email field which is a logical attribute of UME, so that Email address field is not displayed. (since you do not need it in your case).

To customize the UME property you need to edit the Data source configuration file and upload it.

Check the following thread to know about Logical attributes, How to configure it in attribute mapping (in your case, do not define the email tag in the file) and where to look for the configuration file. I assume you are using LDAP directory as Data Source.
