Non-SAP RFC Client using RFC Adapter

Hi Experts,

We're rying to setup an RFC -> SAP PO (7.4), where the RFC Call is coming from Hybris. The system actually has a standard RFC connection to ECC. But in our scenario, we have PO in between. My question is, is it possible to use RFC sender channel to send the RFC call? If so, where are we going to get the RFC parameters required in the channel (gateway host, service, program ID). I tried to look it up here in SCN but couldn't get any definitive answers.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Mark

Hello Mark,

You can configure the RFC details in the RFC sender channel.

See the below link

Hi Raghuraman, Thanks for the response. Our external system doesn't have SM59 so goes back to our issue on how and where we can find the RFC parameters (gateway host, Program ID).

Hi

Most 3th party RFC system is not able to connect using the program id as SAP PI/PO can. I think last time we looked into it it was the way the JAVA JCO adapter worked. It could not just get a message direct.

Hi Mark,

Can you check the below link and see if it helps you on the connectivity between hybris and SAP PI.

Hi Vishnu, Thanks for the info. We're considering web services (REST, HTTP) but we'd like to explore the idea of using RFC first if possible since the standard also uses RFC.
