Information about new tp version

Hello,

is there a possibility to get an automatic information if a new tp version is released in

Service Marketplace - Support Packages and Patches - Browse our download catalogue - Additional Components - SAP Kernel - SAP KERNEL 64-BIT UNICODE - SAP KERNEL 7.21 64-BIT UNICODE - ...

?

I think for kernel stacks there is a posting , where email notifications can be received.

But is there anything else for specific kernel components like tp, R3trans etc?

Regards

Julia

Anybody else knows something about notifications for new tp versions or R3trans versions?

Is there a possiblity to "monitor" the sap website with external tools to get information when new version is published?

Julia

Hi Julia,

AFAIK, there is no automatic notification related to tp/R3trans versions.

I don't know any external monitor tool to keep watching SAP SMP regularly and notify you in case of a new version is released (probably a web developer can make a script to achieve this goal).

I found one SAP note (2116545 - currently not available - it is being edited by SAP) that recommends a given transport tool version - but it is related to Central CTS (integration of CTS with ChaRM and QGM).

My 2 cents,

Cris

Not to my knowledge.... As far as I know maintained kernels/components are released in a quarterly basis and/or in the case of a mayor fix.

Hello Juan Reyes,

so how do you explain the release dates 11.3., 8.5. and 16.7. from tp versions?!

This is not a quarterly basis as you expected.

Julia

I don't need to explain, I don't work there .

I will presume they are fixes based on bugs/improvements. Mayor releases are done quarterly in the shape on new kernels.
