sale order item to wbs mapping

Dear experts,

In assembly process we have a scenario which contains 200 line items in sale order

Can we generate WBS/network for every line item in PS?

Do we need to link all the materials in plant to generate a network/WBS from sale order?

Hello All,

Thank you for the input

But I am still confused if we must map all the materials of the plant to the networks in CN08 or not

Example:

A plant has 10000 materials

on an average a sale order contains 200 of these materials line item wise in one order alone

we would have 1 standard network and project assigned to it

My question is should i map all 10000 materials to 1 network using LSMW or another program?

Also, should all the materials have strategy 85?

Please suggest

Dear Prasad,

I guess you have misunderstood the concept of Assembly processing

No Company or industry will usually have all materials separately assembled.

They form a part of BOM

So with this BOM you Need to Setup

MRP Type ND or PD
MRP strategy 85

Also in the sale order only the saleable material is used

Not all materials in the plant unless all materials are for retail

Hi Prasad,

you can use CN08 to link Material to Std WBS. this will auto create WBS and structure.

material should have strategy as 85 to trigger automatic Project creation.
