1099/1042-S: 2015 Smartforms to PDF format changeover

We are on ECC 5.0 environment and currently using Smartforms  for report 1099.  As per note 2185281, SAP will not be supporting Smartforms  for report 1099 for the legal changes for 2015. We don't have ADS in our system. Does the PDF forms work for 1099 in ECC5.0 if ADS is installed ?

Basically what're the pre-requisite to enable 1099 PDF report in ECC5.0 environment.

Please look at the latest version of 215281. It states: "For tax year 2015 the smartforms will be still released within notes relevant for this year." It also states ""From tax year 2016 included and onwards, smartforms formats will be discontinued and replace completely by PDF formats".

Not sure about ECC 5.0

For ECC 6.0, ADS is required for PDF forms
