Multiple Call List Generation from a Single Campaign

Hi SCN Gurus,

We have a requirement of a Periodic Campaign where we need to generate a Daily Call List based on the Leads created the previous day. I have got it all set up and working, but unfortunately the same call list created at the first campaign run is appended every single day instead of creating a new call list.

I am not sure if there is an SAP Standard way of stamping the Date to the Call List name such that it generated a new call List everyday.

In my campaign i have performed the following,

1. I have created a Segment Model and my Attribute List is based out of a BI Data Source

2. I have created my desired filters generated a Target Group that executes daily before the Campaign is executed.

3. I did this to refresh the Target Group and generate a new set of Target Customers every single Day.

4. I have created the Campaign with Communication Medium set to Phone Outbound Activity with a desired Name, Start Date and End Date

5. I then clicked on Campaign Automation Link and set the Campaign as Periodic with the settings such that it runs once in a Day.

6. I have released the campaign and started the Campaign such that it executes daily after the Target Group Generation.

7. What i have observed here is that the Target group is refreshed with new prospects every day but it is getting appended to the same Call List, instead of new Call List (Once Call List per day)

If you could help me or point me in a direction where i could solve this puzzle, it would be really helpful.

Many Thanks,

Shaju Mathew

    please look at topics related to call lists management like:

    - Define Call Distribution Components (in SPRO, this is for distributing calls to various call lists based on rules, this function uses interface IF_CLM_CALL_LIST_DETERMINATION )

    - Define Call List Dispatching Components (in SPRO, can be used for filtering calls in call list, uses interface IF_CLM_INTERACTION_DISPATCHER)

    So I would check call lists configuration and search there. So what call list type is used, and how it is configured/developed.

    the campaign execution generates the call list from the following coding:

    The call list is generated from function module CRM_TM_CAMPAIGN_CREATE. This calls method CL_CLM_CAMPAIGN_MANAGEMENT=>Import_Target_Group. Within the method there is the following coding:

    * If call list id is supplied, then restore the call list

    * Otherwise try to find an existing call list related to a campaign

    IF iv_Call_List_Id IS NOT INITIAL.

    lr_Call_List = CL_TM_CLM_SESSION=>get_Call_List_By_Id( iv_Call_List_Id ).

    lr_Call_List = Find_Call_List_For_Campaign( iv_Campaign_Id = is_Campaign-Guid iv_Campaign_Task_Id = is_Campaign_Task-Guid ).

    * If no call list found, then create a new call list

    IF lr_Call_List IS NOT BOUND.

    CALL METHOD Create_Call_List

    So even with having recurring campaigns it is the old call list updated, rather than a new one created. If you want to change that design the above coding should provide at least an entrance point.

    best regards,

    • Hi Shaju and SCN experts,

      I have same issue. I am executing same steps listed on first section and experiencing same issue.

      On my case I will be running campaign elements using CA for emails and live phone calls.

      Please let me know if you implemented solution described by Johannes and it worked or if you were able to implement changes by activating 'CRM_CLM_NAMECL_BADI'.
