How to take total server backup using BOXI 3.1 SP3

Hi Guys,

Please share your ideas and steps to flow backup procedure.

1. I want to take backup 3.1 sp3

2. Apply patch sp5 and upgrade sp7 with all test.

3. If I face any issue while working on upgrade, what are all the steps need to follow server recovery using backup?

4. What are all the major impact while upgrading/patch from 3to 5 and 5to 7 with fix pack.

Follow above link and addtionally ask your infrastrcture team  to take bare metal backup of actual server (if it is pysical), snapshot of server (if it is VM), before you upgrade.

There are no major risks as long as you follow best practice while upgrading. Stop Tomcat and all the servers except CMS before applying patches.

Make sure there is no virus scan is running on the server.
