Can we restrict GL account to post amounts through GLPlanning/Budgeting

Dear Experts,

My client requirement is like this

GL Planning/ Budgeting Process, Scenarios and requirement of an Organization.


We want to handle GL accounting along with Cost center transactions that we can Prepare Future


MCIL Process…


There are three types of planning

1 Budget for Jan to Dec

2 Forecast 3 +9 ( Jan to Mar Actual and April to Dec Forecast)

3 Forecast 9+3 ( Jan to Sep Actual And Oct to Dec forecast)


We would like to get the data from system on MTD as well as YTD basis, actuals along with compression with above all three.


System will restrict for new transaction may be on Purchase order ,GR ,Service entry or MIRO level once budget/Forecast value will utilized on the basis of control what we required it may be Monthly Quarterly or Yearly.


please see above bold line that they want to restrict the GL from posting the transaction excess of budget. but is it possible??? please me know if any.

    Hi,

    It is possible with Fund Management Module.

    One more option, which is " Purchase Order Release Strategy" by using this we can restrict the PR's by limiting the value by Approvals.

    Without implementing FM we can do with Internal Order budgeting but with this we can restrict very few scenarios's where cost center maintained as a cost object
