Intercompany billing - Exchange rate field open in VF01

Hello experts,

I have the need to open the 'Exchange rate-accntg' (VBRK-KURRF) field in VF01 header, for the Intercompany billing.

Today, the field is display only, while it should be open for modification.

Do you know if this is possible?

Thank you for any help.

Best regards,

JF

Have a look at the following notes:-

  • Note 747266 - Pricing error in intercompany billing
  • Note 1139992 - Incorrect currency conversion in intercompany billing

Hi Lakshmipathi,

Thank you for your answer.

I have checked the mentioned notes but unfortunately I don't think they are applicable: I am not facing any error or trouble, I just need to have the field VBRK-KURRF open for modification.

I forgot to mention that I'm on ECC 6.0, MTO scenario.

Intercompany billing sources from delivery in front of a sales order. Usual currency for the SO is USD, intercompany currency is usually EUR.

Billing exchange rate for accounting is today coming from copy control and seems referred to the billing date.

This is not Okay for us, we would prefer to have the field open for modification instead.

Thank you so much for further help, if possible.

Best regards,

JF

In normal circumstances, system would consider Exchange rate type "M" but during intercompany billing, it fetches from the internal customer master.  If you want to deviate this functionality, you have to try with Function Module READ_EXCHANGE_RATE

Hi Lakshmipathi,

Thanks again for answering.

Do you know of any user-exit or enhancement point in order to be able to customize the screen properties for VF01, at billing creation?

The goal is to change the VBRK-KURRF field display into an editable field, so that exchange rate can be manually inserted by user.

Thanks anyone for any suggestion on this.

Best regards,
