Hi PP experts,
In production order, some storage locations is E004 (The old value is E004, but I have changed the value to E001 in BOM).
My question is: Why the storage location can not bring out as E001.
Could you please give me some advises? Thank you.
For example, item 0010, the storage location is still E004 in production order.
First, I checked the storage location in material master MRP2 view, the value is E001.
Second, I checked the storage location in BOM for this component, the value is E001.
Thirdly, I checked the supply area which the component is assigned in production order operation contains a work center with supply area. But the supply area is not maintained for this work center.
Regards,
Steve
Hello,
Did you change the storage location after the production order was created ? If yes try CO02 -> Functions -> Read PP Master Data, and refresh the production order data.
Please check the below thread and SAP note, 137225

Hello,
You can get the production order creation date from the Administration tab.
You can check the material master changes by going to MM03 and Environment -> Display Changes
You can check the BOM changes by going to CS03 and Environment -> Change Documents
Check if master data has been changed post production order creation and re read the PP master data, it should solve your problem.

Hi steve
after making change in the bom you have to into production order change mode.In the top of the screen you can get the function tab into which you can get the "Read PP master data".Just click on that....after doing this you can get an pop-up screen...it shows that the production order status going to change from "Rel" to "crtd"...It is only possible when you did not confirm the production Order.

Hi Steve,
This could be due to change in master data after creating production order.
System copies data from material master, BOM , Routing, work center etc at the time of order creation. If you change any data (example Sloc as E001) in Material Master or BOM, it will not get updated in production order automatically.
You need to change it using "Read PP master data" as mentioned by forum members. You can create a new production order and check if correct sloc is getting picked in new document.

Hello,
You can use the Function-- Read PP master data if your order is in created or release status.
Else short close this production order and create new production order and check the storage loacation of your components.

Hello Steve,
You can use modification from SAP standard note 390635 to track the changes of production/process order.
