Add characteristic to Rows.

Hi,

I need to add  0ORGUNIT and 0PERS_SAREA in to rows but I'm not able to add. Please suggest.

Hi,

Maybe the characteristic you want to add is already present inside the SELECTION or RKF in your ROWS or COLUMN?

For example, if the object SAMPLE_CHAR is located inside the SELECTION or RKF in the ROWS, you will not be able to add the SAMPLE_CHAR in your COLUMNS and vice versa..

If you already have the SAMPLE_CHAR in your FREE CHARACTERISTICS, then you can't add it in your ROWS or COLUMN..Just drag the object from the FREE CHARACTERISTICS pane..

Provide a screen of your query..

Is the characteristic which you want to drag is already present in 'Free Characteristics section' in bex ?

If that char. is already in free area then drag it to rows.

Hi Santosh,

Drag your char to Default values first

.

Then those char will be visible in Free characteristic column

Then drag the desired char to rows

As simple as that.

Also try to open any existing query and see whether its allowing to change/move object there. Need to find out is it system issue or related to infoprovider only.

Hi

Kindly check the report is in edit mode or not. Close and reopen the query designer. Considering you have the required object in the infoprovider, it should be easy drag drop in row section.

It is a new Report. The two characteristic are in InfoProvider. Each char in one dimension.

Can you try to add other info objects also into rows? do it in edit/change mode.

if not allowing then seek basis/security team help regarding authorizations.

I can add other infoObjects. It is a new report I haven't saved it yet.

Close your query designer, reopen and try to add/drag 0orgunit in change mode and see.

Later Tx - RSD1, enter 0orgunit and display it.

later check at general tab, whether its selected authorization relevant option?

Hi Ram,

I'm not getting any error message. I'm not able to drag the char in to rows. How to identify whether the infoobject is display or navigational. Please suggest. I'm poor in BEx Query.

share your report design lay out with left side expanded obejcts also.

Nav. attributes are named as infoobject__attribute - like 0VENDOR__0COUNTRY and are located in a dimension (same as other charackteristics). Display attributes are found under the info object in a folder called attributes.
