Mandatory WCM during PM Order Creation

My requirement is to ensure that the system automatically activates WCM whenever a user wants to create a PM Order against a particular Equipment Object type. E.g. All orders created against a TRANSFORMER object should trigger WCM. How can i go about to achieve this?

Hi

You can activate the WCM for maintenance orders by using two ways.

1. By assigning WCM control key to any of operation in PM orders
2. By Assigning permits to PM orders which will activate WCM for PM orders

For Second option you can assign the permit (which triggers WCM for maintenance order, lets say YU_WCM) to equipment master or FL masters. Also against this assignments you can check the checkbox for copying this permits to PM orders when ever the PM order is created manually. This will work for orders which are created manually using IW31 & other order T-codes for creation.

For first option you can create the maintenance tasklist which will have one operation with WCM control key & make maintenance insuch way that operation will be copied to all PM orders. For Preventive maintenance order along with the automatic activation of WCM can be acieved using below link.
