User Exit to bypass fetching of billing dates from Invoice Calendar

Dear all,

I had to make a pricing condition get redetermined at billing upon request. I did it using copy controls.

This sparked rise to another problem.

When the user creates a billing document, he wants the prices to be determined with respect to the actual GI date.

This wouldn't happen because the billing dates at both the header and item get fetched from the invoice calendar and cannot be changed.

He later combines the invoices using Invoice Lists VF21/VF24 where he wants the date to be the date recommended by the invoice calendar.

Hence, I cannot disable the invoice calendar and also I cannot let it be used for fetching the dates in the billing document either.

Disclaimer : if there is a workaround to calculate the value of a condition type from the actual GI date which is not there in the billing document, I know this can be done. But I am unaware of the existence such a complex function.

So what I would like is to know if there is a USER-EXIT that can be modified so that the billing date fetching can be bypassed and instead the Actual GI date continue to be fetched by default like standard?

Thank You,

regards,

Arjun A

Dear all,

The disclaimer proved worthy here.

Actually all I had to do was change the pricing date in the condition type to fetch the date of service rendered.

This would actually do what I needed here.

Hope someone else would find this to be useful too.

Thank You,

Regards,
