Member Selector is not available for time dependent Hierarchy for Webi

Dear Experts,

Member selector screen is available for Time independent Hierarchies, whereas Member selector screen is not available for Time dependent Hierarchies.

Please let me know if this is the expected Webi Behavior.

BO Version : 4.1 SP-06

BW Version : 7.4 SP-11

Do you have a hierarchy node variable in the query on that characteristic ?

When you have a hierarchy node variable, then the member selector will not be available as it would be redundant.

Thanks for your response! Yes, we do have reference period mentioned (Key date) as a variable in BEx. Also i have provided the period in the prompt as defined in the link. But the same behavior where time dependent hierarchies doesn't have member selector option and time independent hierarchies have member selector option.

Hi,

Check in the BEx query if you have selected the hierarchy levels.Also run the BEx analyzer and see if this is working fine or not.

Hi Amit,

In BEx designer the "Expand to Level" is already 99.

The same query works fine in BEx Analyzer and other BO client tools.
