issue in PR link with new PO after deletion of old PO

Hi,

I have released a PO linked with PR to X vendor initially. Due to some issues I have deleted the PO & trying to release another PO linked with same PR.

But I am unable to link the PR, error saying that the PR is already closed. When I checked in ME53N the PR is showing as deleted.

As per my knowledge after deleting the PO, automatically the PR should also re-activated/open for linking to other PO.

We faced same kind of scenarios many times without any issue.

Apart from removing deletion in ME52N, Please suggest some other solution... Since buyer won't have access to ME52N

This checkered flag means that your buyer had decided not to reopen the requisition -

Maybe he flagged this already earlier when he created the PO, maybe because he ordered less than the original PR quantity. But for sure is this flag set manually in the PO (except you use a BAdI or exit to force this in general).

You have no other option than asking the requisitioner to reopen the requisition or to create a new one if your buyer is not allowed to use ME52N himself.

Have checked in PR display for the chhanges.Showing as "No changes found"

While trying for linking the same PR with other PO, the message shows as "No data satisfying selection criteria exists"

Jurgen - as you said, checkered flag is appearing near PR in the old PO as "PR closed"

But I am sure I didn't click anything at the time of PO deletion.

Now kindly need your suggestion...

As Jugren ask you, please check the logs generated in PR after deletion. In that you can find when it is deleted, whether it is deleted at the same time when PO is deleted or not. By this you can see if it because of PO deletion or something else.

What error message no is it showing.

If a PO item is deleted then the PR is opened automatically again, except the buyer has actively decided not to reopen the PR by clicking the button at the end of the schedule line (checkered flag will appear) in the item details of your PO.

Hi Jurgen,

Basically I have to change the vendor. PO items was deleted through ME22N. Simultaneously the PR also showing as deleted automatically when I checked in ME53N. I do not change anything in PR and there is not authorization to do the same at buyer level.

What does the change log in your purchase requisition tell about the deletion? Was it done manually?
