Dynamic URL in Query

Hi Everyone,

I have a requirement to add a BW Query in to a role in ECC.  I know how to add the URL via PFCG, my question is can we make the URL dynamic.

The query exists in DEV, TST and PRD and I want to create one role in ECC that will point to DEV, TST or PRD depending on what system lauches the query.

So, if the URL in DEV is http://DEV/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/.........sap.ip.bi.bex?QUERY=Z01@VARIABLE_SCREEN=X......

The URL in TEST is only different by http://TST/irj.....

Is there somewhere that I can set a dynamic variable so that if I create the role in PFCG in ECC that it will open the correct server (either PRD, TST or DEV) from where it's been launched.  I'm trying to avoid creating a role for DEV, a role for TST and a role for PRD as that would increase the maintenance requirements.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I presume that the web template is in the BW side of things?  If so, I'll give that a go and will come back to you and let you know how we went.

Hi,

It is possible using web template. In the web template one can define dynamic variables for the environment.

For exmple : <prt_protcl>://<prt_server>/<bi_launcher>?TEMPLATE=z_*********.

Thanks
