Hi All,

I hope someone could help me out in selecting an appropriate in SAP for me.

I have done my M.Com  and have 3 yrs experience in Customer service (technical) and another 3 years in data management (as MIS Executive) I am planning to change my career to SAP and so I have done my research in the SAP modules, I could see that BI, FICO, MM, SD, BPC, ABAP, BASIC as the best modules for the long term career.

SO could anyone suggest me which module is best for the career and have good job opportunities in the market to settle down.

Please help me to select the module.

Thank you

Shruti

Hi Shruti,

Your degree is related to FICO, in case if you have worked with any related Finance in your career, then FICO is the best option.

Hi Terence,

I don't have any domain exp. in Accounts/Finance. I have a good exp. in data Management and reporting, as I have worked as a MIS executive for a Telecom sector. So, is there any good module in SAP for Data Management..?

Please Help.

Hi Shruti,

For Data Management, you can check for MDM - Master Data Management. Check below links for your reference.

Hello Shruti,

Since you have mentioned that you have experience in MIS, Business Intelligence (BI) may be relevant to your profile. BI will be mainly used to generate complex analysis, reports and dashboards (like manager cockpits, MIS reports/dashboards, Performance analysis reports etc.) in simple and lively form.

But it needs technical knowledge on SAP platform, Data warehousing, Analytics etc.

Please go through the below links. I hope they may be helpful.

Business Intelligence - SAP Library

Business Intelligence Tools | BI ; Analytics | SAP

Hi Manikandaraja,

Technical knowledge means ...do i need to know about programming languages..?

I afraid as I am not a MCA or B.tech ( in Computers or IT); BI may be required certain technical knowledge like DBA, MS-SQL..etc

Please suggest.

Hello Shruti,

As few customizations will be there based on the business requirements, basic ABAP skill is a prerequisite.

You can go through foundation courses on ABAP similar to

Or enroll yourself for free foundation courses on ABAP in the below link
