Hi MRS experts,
I'm working on MRS 900 and have a quarry regarding the "creating a link" between a human resource and PRT into MRS planning board.
My question is , since the PRT is allocated to an operation (into PM order), why do we need to create a Link between the resource and PRT before trigging automatic assignment creation on MRS planning board. To me, it doesn't make any sense to allocate the PRT to a resource. Rather link should be created with operation no.
can someone please help to get the clarification here ?
PRT are considered resource in MRS
In PM/CS you can assign it to order, this is general one that this order require particular PRT but who is carrying/occupying this PRT is unknown.
So in MRS you can link PRT to resource who is working on the order, it mean you have visibility that for this order, this person is working and person working on order is occupying PRT.
Hope it clears now.

Kapil

Thanks Kapil ,
But this leads to an issue while creating assignment of demand to a resource via automatic assignment creation. Say there are multiple orders and I want to dispatch these by selecting all of these and right click -- > select Automatic assignment creation.
Since in this case , before dispatch, its required to create the link between resource and PRT , but in don't know , which resource is most suitable for a demand (in automatic assignment , system itself determine the resource based on skill set and availability). Now how its possible to create a link upfront , before triggering actual assignment? Any idea here?
