Hi,
Business Objects BI 4.1 SP3 installed on C drive in Windows 2008 server. Can we able to change path from C drive to D now? Is it possible?
Thanks!
Hi Venki,
NOT possible, unless you decide to un-install it from current drive and re-install it on another.
Not just BO any software, I guess it wont be possible. Even if you take a backup of registery key and restore it later it would still point to older locations for eg: If there is a KEY Value say Install path = "C:/Program file" so you will have to point these also to Drive.
So the best way to change the drive would be to take a BACKUP of your CMS DB and FILESTORE, Then Uninstall it completely, Delete the registery keys and install folder. Then install it on D drive ,
Restore and CMS DB and Filestore then Pint the SIA to this.

RVS
