Hello everyone,
I was looking for similar topic on SCN, but I could not find it.
What I am trying to do is to raise an event in one BW system (e.g. D11), so that when the process chain there is finished I would like to start another process chain in different BW system (e.g. D22). Can you help to achieve this?
Thanks !
Bartosz,
??? If all you want to do is start a process chain in a remote system, why not just add a step to your local process chain to execute a Remote Process Chain?

Hi Bartek,
This doc might give you a clue.

I don't see why one should create a z-table for rfc destinations (that info is already available in standard table rfcdes)?!
We just call function module RSSM_EVENT_RAISE with a destination and an eventid in a little z-program (where destination and eventid are parameters). That program is added to the chain with a (customer specific -to include statusses- variant of the) ABAP Program process type.
I'm confused - why is this an ABAP question? Wouldn't it make sense to ask this in BW/BI forum? Maybe there is some special process there. I'm not a BI expert, so not even sure what does "start another process chain" entail exactly...
There are events for background jobs, should be a lot of documentation already available on that, use Google.
