Hi C4C team,

I have a requirement to add a new column to the table present in the quotation output template. I am trying to edit the form using Adobe Livecycle tool given by SAP in the downloads section and trying this in internet explorer ( as this tool works only in internet explorer).

If anyone has an idea on how to add a new column to the existing table in quotation output template, please provide help.

Attached is a snapshot of the table which i need to enhance. This is needed really very urgent.

Thanks,

Venkat

Hi All,

Apart from the initial post where-in I requested help on how to add a new column to the product details row in the quotation output template, I need one more additional help on the same quotation output template.

the user wants a new text field to be placed in the quotation output template where-in the user can enter text dynamically. I have added the text field and also allowed for editing the field in the properties of the field but I am unable to have that field editable.

Request your help on this also. As this is getting very urgent and critical for the testing, an early solution is needed.

Thanks,

Venkat

Hello Venkat,

It's quite difficult to explain you in this manner, but please see my screenshot which hopefully helps you to add the column. If the existing table is taking the full page width, then the tool does not allow you to expand the table with more column. Try to drag the existing columns to create more space.

Then for the bindings I also added another screenshot. I do not know how to add new (custom) bindings to the form. This question I also posted on SCN because I need to find out how this is done.

For you text field I would suggest to use the existing (standard) external notes field. Because there are already bindings available for these fields. You can add notes on item or header level.

Hopefully these pointers will help you a bit further.

Hi Rogier,

Many thanks for your help in this regard. I am also trying to do the same for adding a new column for the table but somehow I am unable to succeed.

Can i request a help. If you would be ok, can I send you the form through a zip file where-in you can check if there is any object lock or if you are able to add the column. I am trying hard but unable to succeed. Please find attached a snapshot of my current screen.

I want to add the column at the end next to Net Value. Once I am able to add the column, I would reference / bind it through the way you explained it. Thanks for that.

If you can share your email id, I can send the zip file to you as zip files are not permitted in this attachment. Since we have the integration testing with our client on Wednesday, this is needed very urgently.

many thanks for your help.

Venkat

Venkat,

This week I am very busy until Friday. So Friday I can make some time to have a look at your issue.

You can send it to my personal mailbox (rogersmithers@gmail.com).

If I have some time in between, then I will look at it sooner.

Rgds,

Rogier

Hello Venkat,

You need to install the full LifeCyle Designer application on your PC. Then export the form from C4C, and import this in the LifeCycle Designer. There you can select the table and add the column, like you would typically do in MS Word only in a less user-friendly way. There you can assign the data bindings, save it locally and import it back into C4C. So this is the standalone designer tool I am talking about, not the IE plugin.

Hope this is helpful.

Hello Smit,

I installed the complete version of the adobe lifecycle tool and as said, I exported the form and opened the same through this tool.

I am unable to add any column to this tool. Not even able to edit the heading of the columns in this table (product details table).

Can you please guide further on this as to how to add the column using the full adobe lifecycle tool and also on how to do the data binding.

Thanks,

Venkat
