Source Document for MDG Customer CR

Hello,

We are using SAP MDG 7.02 and have MDG Customer and Supplier Create/Change processes in production. Our business would like to start sending Excel or PDF documents to new customers for collecting basic master data directly from the customer. A CSR at our company would most likely receive the document back and add a few missing details. Rather than then have a user manually key the data into an MDG change request, we are looking for an automated process for mapping the document into a draft CR.

I have seen an SCN post on going from CRM->PI->MDG, but we are not using CRM. The thought of a FlatFile->PI->MDG scenario is possible I guess.

I am posting to see if anyone is doing anything similar or has heard of SAP or 3rd party products in this area?
