Hi Experts,

I have moved to SAP HR testing, and I am very new to this.Have done some manual work through google - but could not find the solution.

Have given few testcases to go through, but not able to understand the scenarios. Can you please help me.

1. Hire US Regular Full Time Salary employee - and Pre-requisite is - create salary position with EG-1 and ESG-A0.

2. Hire US Regular Part Time Salary employee - and Pre-requisite is - create salary position with EG-2 and ESG-A0.

3. PA-Hire US Delivery Manager Full time Salary employee - and Pre-requisite is - create salary position with EG-3 and ESG-A0.

4. Hire US Temporary Full Time Salary employee -and Pre-requisite is -create Temporary Full Time position with EG-5 and ESG-A0.

Like to know - about EG customization - is EG 1 - means - Regular Full Time, EG - 2 - means - Regular Part Time, EG 3 - means - Delivery Manager Full time, EG 5 - means - Temporary Full Time.

==================================================================

5. Hire US Regular Full time Hourly employee - and Pre-requisite is create salary position with PA-U001 to U015, PSA-0001 to 0031, EG-1 and ESG-A.

6.Hire US Regular Part Time Hourly employee - create Hourly position with EG-2 and ESG-A1.

As per scenarios 1 to 4 - my analysis is that EG 1 = Regular Full Time, EG 2 =Regular Part Time, EG 3 = Delivery Manager Full time, EG 5 = Temporary Full Time.

I am confused How ESG has been customized with A0, A1. Can you please help me

Thank you

Basha

To customize Employee Groups (EG) and Employee Sub-Groups (ESG), that is usually done through the IMG (t-code = spro), using the appropriate node in the following path: SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Enterprise Structure > Definition > Human Resources Management.

The definition of EGs and ESGs may be specific to you (your Client). Have there been provisions for Casual Workers, Pensioners or External Contractors?

For Additional information on your current configuration, look in the IMG under SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Enterprise Structure > Assignment > Human Resources Management.

Use t-code pq13 to create the required positions (one at a time). Note that you will define the PA and PSA in IT1008, and the EG and ESG in IT1013.
