How does FF_5 (EBS Clearing) decide an exchange rate difference?

Dear Expert,

Using FF_5 to perform EBS posting, I discovered additional line items in the account document, which i believed that the additional line item is for exchange rate differences (Transaction KDB). My question is, how FF_5 determine the difference of the amount? The file uploaded into FF_5 contains only one amount and the local currency, where does the difference come from?

Thank you.

Hi Kok,

I understand that the transaction in EBS is showing in the local currency. But as per standard SAP when you process the EBS it will clear the entry which has been posted to either incoming and outgoing bank GL and finally the amount will be transferred to the main bank GL.

So can you please let me know if that original entry is also in the local currency or foreign currency and please confirm if all the bank GLs are maintained in local currency only.

Please let me know in case if you have any question.

Regards,

Pintu

Hi,

You might be cleared a foreign currency document through FF_5 with currenct exchange rate from OB08.

Check the document which is cleared through FEBA or FBL3N (bank sub accounts and clearing date).
