But while applying for SAP certification i am not finding any Certification for EHP4

What to do in this?

How can i apply for EHP4 certification

Looks option only available from EHP5 but never worked in EHP5

Need guidance in this

SAP only offers certifications for reasonably current versions. Makes sense, because they want consultants to be able to educate customers about up to date solutions and not tell them obsolete things.

In fact, with or without certification, it's a consultant's moral duty to keep up to date, isn't it? That's why customers pay for us. There is material out there and if you are really far behind in a fast changing module, you may have to do a new training to be able to give the right advice to your customer.

Anyway: if you are looking at HCM Workforce Project Management or payroll and have a few years experience even in an old EHP, you should pass the certification without any special preparation except for a couple of hours to go through release notes.

Hello Sven Ringling

I completely agree with you. But as per my understanding for OM,PA,TM and Payroll there is no much difference b/n versions especially for India/Srilanka/Bangladesh countries.

We still have an SAP project which is running in 4.7, would you believe this and same like many projects in south Asia?

Why myself for couple of years working in EHP4 project only. If SAP want to have yup to date solution then they must scrap all old EHP versions.

Then what is the solution for my case?

As I said:

1) Most importantly:

keep up to date by reading release notes, follow SCN etc. Because one day your customer's HRD will ask you during luch: "is it worthwhile migrating to EHP8? What are the benefits? What would it cost". Or even more likely: you'll recognise the value they are losing by being behind and proactively tell them what they could gain.

2) I probably shouldn't say that, but: If you really know EHP4 then you'll pass all HR certifications without doing anything extra (maybe not Talent Management, but even there I'd be confident). Obviously, a few hours invested in reading release notes or the EHP updates people post on SCN and elsewhere can't hurt. This is not just a guess. This is tested in real life.

Hello Sven

Yes. Thats True.

But i am ready to take even EHP6 also that is not the issue.

But in south ASIA, Sap removed the ECC6.0 and EHP5 certification from the list

Now i am only able to appear for the EHP4 as per my experience (SAP is removed the EHP4 version certification)

In this case whether SAP will allow me for EHP5 certification?

Just take the most current certification available. The others will become obsolete very soon.

Why should they not?

You register, pay, turn up, do the test, if you get the pass mark, you'll get the certificate.
