CCMS equivalent for PO 7.4

Hi Team,

In PI 7.3x dual stack we had CCMS configured to monitor the PI system.

CCMS could monitor the PI components as well the overall system in terms of CPU usage, File System, DB fill, qRFC queues, etc.

Threshold Values could be defined exceeding which alerts will be triggered proactively by CCMS.

Auto reaction methods can be defined to send these alerts as emails.

How can this be implemented for system monitoring in single stack PO 7.4.

Sudharshan,

SAP PI 7.4 will have new alerting mechanism 'Component-Based Message Alerting'. You can use old mechanism (have to select when installing), but not recommended.

CCMS alert monitoring is part of SAP NetWeaver AS, it is not a feature specific for PI only.

Hi Raghu,

We are planning to use SOLMAN PI monitoring (PO 7.4). I understand that we can monitor the PI components, messages  in the SOLMAN Technical Monitoring -> PI Monitoring.

I want to know which exact technical monitor in SOLMAN will be used to define thresholds and monitor the PO infrastructure like CPU usage, DB table spaces, file systems, etc.

System Monitoring in SOLMAN provides details and metrics of all the system level parameters.

CPU usage, db fill, file system, etc can be monitored.
