Hi all,

I kinda want to use HTTPS to access my portal url. I have been searching for a way to do this and after reading sapnotes and forums, I have succeed to use HTTPS for my portal web. But I found something strange when I access my portal using HTTPS which is I cannot click any menu from Employee Self Service (ESS) tab. Can anyone tells me what is wrong? For your information, my portal port is 50600 (HTTP) and 50601 (HTTPS). for HTTPS. I have tried to use web dispatcher to overcome this issue, but error stills persist. Need your expert opinion guys

Regards,

Jefry

Hi Rv,

I have tried to use all browser available (firefox, chrome, IE8, IE9, and IE10) but the result still the same.

Here is the screenshot of my ESS menu:

Hi Krunal,

Now, my portal still running in intranet, but after HTTPS implementation success, I think I will publish it in internet. I have tried to use /irj/portal, but nothing happen. Besides, I have set a parameter which automatically add /irj/portal when I enter https://hostname:port.

Ermina,

Thanks for the screencap, It looks like typical portal launchpad issue.

It could be a LPD_CUST config or SP bug, pls look for answer in that perspective.

These notes may share some light,

1873465 - Traval Management folder is missing in Launchpad

2138930 - LPD: Performance improvements when getting content

regards,

Rv

Please check once ESS/MSS BP versions with help of BASIS team.

Those should be compatible with existing portal version.

Hi,

Is your portal is running over internet or intranet?

If your portal is running over internet then please try once to access with https://www.<portal host>:<port>/irj/portal.

If you face same problem then please reply with screen shot of an issue.
