security access

Hi All,

I have one more question on security.

I want to restrict the particular user to access only particular entity. how to restrict it.

For example I have a user TEST001 he has to access only Entity 101 not other entities. Please advise me

Hi Madhu,

You need to secure the model with at least entity as one of the secure dimensions.

then you create DAP, data access profile to manage different teams or users access.

Play around with that, and ask more questions if you get stuck.

Hello Boss,

I have done the Entity as a secured one.

I have given in DAP access in for only required company codes.

Still its displaying all entities for this user.

does that user have multiple DAP?

the least restrictive profile applies.

Make sure he only has one DAP, and if he belongs to a team then make sure the team only have one DAP, or at least not conflicting DAP.

I have created only one DAP for that user.

>In the Member Access profile I have given access to only one entity ready and write.

Kindly make sure that user don't have SAP_ALL profile assigned in BW side. ( SU01)

I just removed from the back end.

and assigned tasks in tast profile. so its working...
